Sand Serpent. Brighton Beach January 2022.
'The 'Sand Serpent' reflects the shapes, patterns and movement of the beach and the sea.' This piece is a continuation of my ongoing exploration of the slatted form where an image is generated from multiple elements that vary slightly. The form emerges as it is built, slat by slat. The finished form exhibits solidity and transparency, movement and stillness.
