My recent research into Aboriginal rock art has made me aware of how much depth and intricacy can be found in a simple image. Rock art imagery is still alive with the Spirit and Ancestor figures who not only moved through the landscape but also created its forms and gave birth to its people. These pieces are, in some ways, a response to those images but are representations of spirit figures from my own personal myths.
